In August, Samsung announced the Galaxy A50s, an upgraded version of the Galaxy A50 launched earlier this year. However, it seems that Samsung is ready to launch another upgrade version of the A50s called Galaxy A51.
Rumors about the Galaxy A51 have surfaced online for a while now. Leaking expert OnLeaks also recently posted many render images showing us details about the design of the device.
Specifically, the most noticeable change on the Galaxy A51 is in the design, as the upcoming phone will feature a punch-hole screen design like the Galaxy Note 10 with a small cutout positioned in the center of the top edge. On the back, there is a quad-camera cluster of the device stacked in a rectangular module similar to that of the iPhone 11 Pro.
Some hardware specifications of the Galaxy A51 are also revealed. The device will measure 158.4 x 73.7 x 7.9mm and its screen size is tipped to be 6.5 inches. The fingerprint sensor is not found on both the side and back, so the Galaxy A51 should be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
With a cluster of 4 main cameras on the back, the device has a thickness of 8.5mm if counting camera protrudes. These 4 cameras are arranged in an "L" shape, quite a unique design as no other manufacturer has used this type of camera design. The only phone that has a similar design is also a Samsung smartphone, Galaxy M30s.
Galaxy A51 is expected to have a 4000 mAh battery, run on Android 10 with One UI 2.0 interface on top. It will likely draw power from an Exynos 9611 SoC, which is also the same processor as the Galaxy M30s. The chipset will be aided by 4GB of RAM and 64 / 128GB of storage. The device might be available in three color variants, including Blue, Grey, and Black.
