Galaxy A20s Announced in India With Triple Rear Cameras & 4,000mAh Battery

Samsung has just announced one more addition to its Galaxy A series called Galaxy A20s. The handset is a slightly upgraded model of the Galaxy A20. All of the specifications of the handset is listed down on an infographic made by the company. However, it doesn’t reveal the exact pricing, and when the handset will be available. However, the Galaxy A20 is priced at Rs. 12,490 in India, so we expect the Galaxy A20s to be priced a little bit higher than its sibling. Highlights of the phone are a 6.5-inch Infinity-V screen with HD+ resolution, triple camera setup at the back, and a beefy 4,000 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy A20s: Specifications

The Galaxy A20s sports a 6.5-inch Infinity-V display with HD+ resolution and it is slightly larger than the 6.4-inch display on the Galaxy A20. However, this new phone only comes with an LCD panel, while its sibling was packed with an AMOLED panel. Powering the phone is an octa-core processor with a 1.8GHz clock speed, but the name of the unit is still under wraps. Previously, the handset was tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 450 SoC, according to a leaked photo. It is an octa-core chipset with a clock speed of 1.8GHz, which matches the descriptions of the A20s’ unit. If the A20s indeed comes with the said chipset, it would be a downgrade from the A20.

In the imaging department, the handset comes with a triple camera system at the back, including a 13MP main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, it comes with an 8MP shooter housed in the notch for selfies and video chats. For security, it is equipped with a fingerprint reader on the rear. Samsung offers the phone in two memory configurations - 3GB of RAM / 32GB of storage and 4GB of RAM / 64GB of storage. The brand also offers a microSD card slot for further storage expansion. Just like the A20, the Galaxy A20s is also packed with a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood, that can be charged with 15W fast charging solution. Finally, the handset will come in four color variants - Red, Green, Black, and Blue.
