Apple Will Reportedly Launch Foldable iPhone With Apple Pencil Support In 2023

Apple may release its 7-inch OLED foldable iPhone with Apple Pencil compatibility in 2023. The screen size will be between 7.3 inches to 7.6 inches
According to a report from Omdia, a global technology research firm, Apple may release its first 7-inch OLED foldable iPhone with Apple Pencil compatibility in 2023. The firm predicts that the screen size will be between 7.3 inches to 7.6 inches.

Rumors of Apple Pencil support for iPhones have been around for a few years now but we have seen that idea materialized.
It’s understandable that Apple might want to add support for Apple Pencil. With the size of roughly 7.6 inches, the upcoming foldable phone is nearly as large as the iPad Mini which is already compatible with the accessory.
Apple Pencil is a handy tool for tasks that demand fine control, like handwriting and illustration so Apple may not see the point of making it available for smaller iPhones in the last few years. However, there is a clear use-case for it with the larger foldable phone.

There are some previous reports that also point to an OLED panel from Samsung.
Back in January, Mark Gurman of Blomberg claimed that Apple was testing a range of screen sizes for its foldable phone. Meanwhile, Economic Daily News said two foldable iPhone prototypes have passed Apple’s internal tests. The news outlet also points to a 2022 or 2023 release.
Speculations regarding foldable iPhones date back to 2016 with the Cupertino tech giant filing several patents relating to this technology.
