These days LG Corporation is facing an image crisis with the general public. Two newest flagship smartphones of this brand (including LG G8 ThinQ) received lukewarm technology market reception. Despite the good reviews back from the critics. Those smart devices have also received some not really good camera reviews from DxOMark which didn't do any good for the reputation of the brand. Then it is kinda a good thing that JerryRigEverything has given a new breath to scenery with normal stress tests on the LG G8 ThinQ. The results are somewhat forgettable.

If you are familiar with all those durability tests then you would know that those tests are the instances that would be better if nothing happens. On the other hand, if something interesting happens during the test that would mean there is some kind of damage or hardware failure to the product. These kinds of tests are known to be very good but that is not the rule, just the exception.
However, luckily LG G8 ThinQ has done really well on all of those stress tests. It has endured through both the burn test and the scratch tests. Still, that's also meant that the burn mark won't recover like other OLEDs smartphones these days. The phone is well-made and was really sturdy. However, it still flexed a little bit during the bend test.
Zack Nelson from JerryRigEverything has noted one special design feature for this smartphone. It features an entire sheet of glass that covers both the camera lenses and the back of the phones. So it doesn't have the usual bump that we see on other recent smartphones. This design makes the back of the phone looks more aesthetically pleasing. In the same time, if you break this piece of glass you might also crack the glass over the camera lenses. This is the same design problem that Apple is encountering with the iPhone XI.
Maybe you will find the design of LG G8 is somewhat boring. But the special point of this phone is its 3D Time-of-Flight camera. LG also looking to launch an improvement for the air gesture of the phone soon.
