Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi K20/K20, its first pop-up selfie camera smartphones, on May 29. However, this Chinese phone maker also revealed another pop-up selfie camera phone.
The company posted a photo on its Twitter account, which shows a notch-less device, alongside the hashtag “#PopUpInStyle.” Also, the message stated that it is a smartphone in the Mi 9 series. It could be the Mi 9T, Mi 9K or Mi 9l.
It remains unclear if this is the Mi 9 phone with a pop-up shooter or a Redmi K20 with the design of the Mi 9. It is known that the design of the Mi 9 is different from the K20 lineup when it features a vertically-aligned camera module on the device’s side, not in the center like the K20. In addition, the Mi 9 also comes with different gradient rear panel.
Additionally, the Mi 9 delivers some advantages compared to the K20 series like an ultra-wide angle, and higher resolution telephoto camera, as well as wireless charging. But, the Redmi K20 lineup is backed with a much larger battery of 4,000mAh while the Mi 9 only comes with a 3,300mAh cell. In addition, the K20 features a 3.5mm audio port and up to 256GB internal storage.
For further information, in the latest information, the K20 series could be unveiled under the Poco F2/F2 Pro in the Indian market, instead of bearing the Redmi brand. However, according to the source, both handsets still remain the attractive price tags and their hardware is the same. To recall, the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro sport a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, Snapdragon 730 SoC or Snapdragon 855 SoC, triple rear camera setup with a 48MP main sensor, and more.
