The streaming wars are becoming more and more fierce between competitors like Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hotstar. But now, there are more coming to get a bite of the streaming pie like Apple TV and the latest amongst them being Zomato-the food delivery app.
Up until now, Zomoto has only been known as a food delivery startup. But now, it will start delivering fresh and hot original content. The Zomato app will now house around over 2000 videos, including recipe videos, original shows, and restaurant sneak peeks, all under a “Videos” tab.
Starting from September 16th, in the next three months, the plan of Zomato is to launch 18 original shows. With it being a food delivery startup, it is no surprise that all the shows will be around food with a twist added. The shows will come in different genres including reality, comedy, advice, fiction, and celebrity interviews, exploring food in entertaining and engaging videos.
The company has already announced its lineup for original content and it looks quite promising. The hosts of the show will be Sanjeev Kapoor, comedians like Sahil Shah and Sumukhi Suresh, YouTubers and social media influencers like Jordindian and Janice Sequeira, and many more.
Below are the official descriptions for some of the new original shows from Zomato.
