Google CEO Said YouTube Has Found Its Fastest Growing Market In India

Google CEO said YouTube has found its fastest growing market in India. In addition, YouTube Music has recently reached over 15 million downloads in the nation.

On April 29, Sundar Pichai also admitted that the company’s strong growth has been under great impact from changes in a variety of ad products in Google Search and YouTube. However, YouTube seems to be showing its big potentials in quarter 1 2019.
In the earnings calls with analysts, Pichai said,

According to the CEO from India, YouTube will keep developing and supporting its creators via its ad business in direct response campaigns and brands. Also, the company is planning to tackle misinformation on YouTube. He stressed,



In recent times, YouTube has come under fire for offering videos by Alex Jones, a conspiracy theorist that is banned on many big social networking platforms. He is said to make a lot of controversial and offensive posts, and among those is even a 2-hour podcast which is available to 1.8 billion users in the whole world.
At the beginning of 2019, the video-sharing website made an announcement on its new changes towards the amount of recommended content. That means it hopes to limit the spread of fake news as well as content that violates its guidelines. Pichai added,


Commenting on Google Cloud, he said that 7 out of 10 biggest retailers, 9 out of 10 biggest media companies, and over 5 out of 10 biggest firms, financial services, and communications are using the platform.

In addition, Thomas Kurian, who was known as the former President of Product Development at Oracle, has just moved to work on Google Cloud since early 2019. Sundar Pichai stated,
