According to Vivo India’s Director Nipun Marya, the firm will be working closely with government authorities over the next few weeks to provide help within their capabilities. The first step would be donating N95 and surgical masks to doctors as well as healthcare workers.

The company has also promised to donate 100,000 medical masks to Maharashtra. It stated that amid the pandemic and the whole country is on full lockdown, healthcare workers are facing challenges in their fight against CO.VID-19, so protecting doctors, nurses, as well as other healthcare workers, should be a priority.
Besides, the firm has delayed the launch of the Vivo V19, the upcoming mid-range smartphone with dual front cameras and four rear cameras. As stated by the phone maker, its current top priority is the well-being and safety of customers, employees, partners, and citizens, which is why it has suspended all new product launches to help fight the epidemic using its time and resources.

These statements come after Xiaomi pledged to donate lakhs of N95 masks in the country with the priority of distribution for frontline healthcare workers.
India is near to reaching 1,000 confirmed cases. As of now, there are 933 CO.VID-19 cases in the country with 20 deaths. The rapid increase in cases over the past week as made the Indian government decide to put the entire country on lockdown for 21 days to limit the virus from spreading further.
