Snapchat has rolled out a beta version of its app for the iOS platform. One of the latest improvements in this version is that it can support 8 new languages, and 5 among those hail from Indian languages.

The languages under test include Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Vietnamese, Filipino, and Malay.

According to a Google report in 2017, India would be the ideal market for a variety of social network platforms all over the world, including Snapchat.

In November 2018, Snapchat has introduced the first product that aimed at the market in India. At that time, the company partnered with ten media companies in the nation to launch a new localized version for Discover, a platform developed to discover all contents on its app.

This happened after Raheel Khursheed, who worked as a Twitter news’s head in India, has become its new country expert from October 2018 to now.

Last month, Snapchat said that in the last quarter of 2018, there were 1860 lakhs visitors to its app per day. That was truly good news when it had had the two bad quarters before that.
