According to a Google report in 2017, India would be the ideal market for a variety of social network platforms all over the world, including Snapchat.

In November 2018, Snapchat has introduced the first product that aimed at the market in India. At that time, the company partnered with ten media companies in the nation to launch a new localized version for Discover, a platform developed to discover all contents on its app.
