This Electric Car Polestar 2 Will Be A Direct Competitor To The Tesla Model 3

Polestar confirms its leading car 'offers a cutting edge design and a one-of-a-kind experience with a reasonable price for a medium-range EV. As indicated by an announcement from the company, the Polestar 2 will cost EUR 39,900 up for the price guide and EUR 59,000 once launched.

According to CEO of Polestar, Thomas Ingenlath, the brand is promising to be a competent name in the electric car industry and that the Polestar 2 is made with dedication and passion, forming a high-performance, worthy product.
Being a 5-door fastback, the Polestar 2 is equipped with 2 electric engines and a 78 kWh battery that can let you drive about 500 kilometers. It is also integrated with the CMA platform from Volvo.
Its battery system which consists of 27 modules, is intelligently packed inside the floor, making the car capable of reducing noise and vibration from moving.
Either charging at home or at Polestar's public dedicated charging systems will be available.
With a reasonable price car, Polestar 2 can give you more than you expect. Its 408-hp engine can bring you from 0 to 100 kph in no more than 5 secs. Furthermore, Polestar offers a paid Performance Pack that exclusively gives you dampers from Ohlins, Brembo's brakes and special forged wheels sizing 20 inches each.
Its entertainment and information system is powered by Android, supporting all Google's electric cars-friendly products, featured by a razor-sharp 11-inch display with touchscreen and voice command.
Stats and tech aside, the car is completed with gold seat belts, valve caps, and brake calipers.

The car features cutting edge design, both exterior and interior
Most importantly, the designers of Polestar 2 really put their mind into making the car as friendly and intuitive as possible for the users. Some high-tech features are introduced including the key-sharing through phones system that easily enables co-ownership.
Lead designer Maximilian Missoni of Polestar also remarked that the car will also aim to vegan customers by providing a version with a vegan interior featuring cutting-edge textile technology.
Polestar 2 is expected to be in production from 2020 in China.
