On Thursday, Google outlined updates it has made to the ARCore platform that allows developers to build AR experiences for smartphones.
The tech giant said that it is searching for developers to test a new AR tech dubbed persistent Cloud Anchors before it becomes available on a broader scale. In 2018, Google released Cloud Anchors and talked about data stored in the cloud, as part of ARCore. AR overlays digital objects on real things, but Could Anchors supports things such as multiplay games in which users can see as well as interact with augmented reality object at the same time.

Now, the company wants to take a step further with its persistent Cloud Anchors which is able to stick around for a longer time.
According to a blog post from Google’s Christina Tong:

Persistent Cloud Anchor is currently available for use in the Mark AR app, which allows people to create and discover augmented reality graffiti in locations of the real world, said Google.
In separate news, a new video surfacing on a Vietnamese YouTube channel shows gaming test on a demo version of the Google Pixel 4. In the video, the reviewer said that the phone may house a 90Hz display, while its design with thick bezels helps make gameplay easier. And it’s more difficult to accidentally touch the screen.
