LG Patent Its New Phone Design, Featuring Three Or Four Cameras

Recently, LG has patented its new phone design, which features three or four rear cameras. Yet, most of the design is quite old-school.

On October 23, 2018, United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued patent to LG for its new phone design.

LG submitted patents for its new phone that features a traditional back fingerprint scanner and a quad camera. The versions of the design were filed to United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), each of which has more rounded corners on the screen and the phone.

As you can see in the picture, the versions are named Design A, B and C. The designs are basically the same with power button, volume adjustment on the sides of the phone and slim bezels.

The biggest (and maybe only) difference we can notice here is from model A to C, the corners get rounder and rounder. In the model A, the corners are a little round and the screen is almost rectangular, but model B and C features rounder corners giving the phone a softer look.

The latest LG phone V40 features three cameras, but the new one may boost to four. The cameras may be arranged in a square just like Huawei did to its Mate 20.

We spot no flash in the design, so maybe one of the circles will be the flash instead of the fourth camera. It may be interesting to note that LG came up with the ide before Huawei launched its 20 Mate phones.

LG is keeping some old-fashion features such as the back fingerprint scanner and the front design. No notch included and the selfie camera is not hidden. The phone is so traditional that is provides enough space for earpiece, cameras and other parts, that’s not to mention the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Both G and V, LG’s key series, now feature notches, so this is shows a step back to the older design, and we don’t mind at all.
