It is reported that Jeff Bezos is hiring investigators to look into how National Enquirer got hold of his text messages related to his affair with Lauren Sanchéz, a former news anchor.

Initial findings suggested that either Sanchez’s or Bezos’ smartphones were hacked. Now the investigation, which was personally funded by Bezos, pointed to a theory that it was related to politics.
According to The Daily Beast, Bezos’ The Washington Post has long been criticized by President Donald Trump. He accused the newspaper house of advocating unfairly for Amazon. When news on how the texts are in possession of the National Enquirer emerged, the president posted on his Twitter in a delighted manner.
Suspicions are surrounding the destination where the texts ended up, that the publishing could be political. Trump and the CEO of American Media, the parent company of National Enquirer, have known to have a well-established friendship. When in need, they have become each other’s ally. When Trump was in his final weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign, he was said to be having an affair with numerous women, Pecker has helped by keeping one of them silent.
On January, Bezos announced on his Twitter that he and his 25-year partner, MacKenzie Bezos were going to divorce. Several hours, the National Enquirer and the New York Post reported that the CEO of Amazon was having an affair with Lauren Sanchéz, a former news anchor of “Good Day LA.”
The National Enquirer later published the text messages containing sweet talk from the wealthiest man on Earth. One message read:

How these steamy text messages landed at the National Enquirer is still a mystery.
When being asked for comments, neither the White House nor Amazon immediately responded.
