On Monday, Facebook announced that its new privacy tool, which allows users to clear their browsing history on social networks, is still under development and will not be launched until early 2019.

Last month, Mark Zuckerberg said Facebook was building a "clear history" feature. The feature allows users to review sites or apps they have previously interacted with and can remove all of that information from their accounts. And after seven months of Facebook's announcement of the feature, it has not yet been released, according to Recode.
Facebook's product and privacy executive, David Baser, said the company wanted to build and develop something really useful and effective for users. The company wants to spend more time developing and testing the feature than hurrying to launch it.
Earlier, a British consulting firm, Cambridge Analytica, found that Facebook collected personal data from 87 million users without giving any notice or permission. After that privacy scandal came to light in March, Facebook was under more pressure to ensure privacy for its users.
Last week Facebook announced to users that their 6.8 million private photos may have been exposed to outside developers through a bug. In the past few years, Facebook has consistently been involved in many security scandals and has disrupted users.
Baser also said that in early 2019, this tool will begin testing. The company said it was having trouble building security features when more than 2.3 billion people in the world use social networking. Facebook must build a new processing system to immediately give control of the browser history for users.
For example, the organization of data is controlled by date, but with "clear history", the company must be organized and managed according to user profiles. This makes Facebook more difficult to find browsing data associated with each user.
