The latest source has just revealed that the California-based company Facebook claimed not to conduct physical verification towards its users who posted political content.

A spokesperson from Facebook said,

However, the company also further said checking its users has been applied for someone who plans to run advertisements concerning political factors as well as certain issues in relation to India’s national security.
In addition, it recently pulled out more than 700 pages that were connected to individuals in relation with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress.
Facebook has reportedly put a lot of efforts into enhancing transparency for all kinds of ads on its official platform before the Indian elections take place. That’s why the company offers two verification methods for advertisers including sending its representative to the advertiser’s house to confirm his/her identity and checking the address given by the advertiser by sending a letter to the place.

A few days ago, IANS reported that the tech giant has sent some representatives to its users’ houses to check whether the political posts were written by themselves or not.
After a user had a Facebook representative visited his home like that, he said to IANS,
