Facebook magnate Mark Zuckerberg reveals he wants to build a mind-reader machine.

Facebook's Ambitions: Brain-reading Machine

Accessing customer's information illegally had lead to Zuckerberg's Facebook Congressional hearing in D.C last year. But Mark seems not to stop dreaming of creating a brain-reading machine. His futuristic machine has been carrying on social media magnate’s ambition: one day it would analyze the user’s thoughts and permit them to navigate menus or even type using their minds alone. The claim of Facebook founder could bring to various controversies between Facebook and other sides, especially their customers.

Mark Zuckerberg's interview at Harvard University

This project was unveiled recently in an interview at Harvard University. Zuckerberg had several discussions with Law Prof. Jonathan Zittrain. The discussions lasted over 2 hours and were about encryption, ‘information fiduciaries’ and targeted advertisements based on the company's data leak scandals.

Brain-reading Machine's Future

All was going to plan. Customer’s thoughts would be seriously read and responded by a “shower-cap-looking device”, a device which would run in the Facebook machine. The technology that Zuckerberg wants to develop is a device which would surround customers brain and discover relations between thoughts streams, brain activity or blood flows. On the other hand, “brain-computer interface” is experimented for several years in Facebook labs. Facebook’s Vice President of Building Regina Dugan referred to a “brain mouse” — an interface that could allow users to control AR applications someday with a non-invasive interface.

Despite the fact that millions of users have quit Facebook in 2018, Zuckerberg is still optimistic about the brain-reading machine’s prospect. Nobody knows what will happen when smart gadgets could access our minds, but Facebook users would know that they won't have own privacy anymore, even in their mind.
