Vodafone and Reliance Jio have already offered VoLTE (short for Voice over LTE) in national roaming while Bharti Airtel didn’t go with the trend. But that has changed.
According to Telecomtalk, the company now supports VoLTE in national roaming. This is an agreement in which telecom operators use each other’s networks so they can provide services to regions where they do not cover. This kind of arrangements can help empower carriers to expand their services to the entire country.

In 2017, Airtel introduced its own VoLTE service, now users in 21 telecom circles can enjoy the service yet without support for national roaming.
In addition, the telecom firm has announced lately that it has obtained the approval from the board of directors to fundraise as much as Rs 32,000 crore through bond sales and equity. Particularly, Airtel said that the Bharti AirtelINSE-3.29 percent board has thought about the proposal of the special committee of directors and approved of raising funds up to Rs 32,000 crore by issuing as many as Rs 25,000 crores worth of right shares as well as up to Rs 7,000 crore of equity credit worth perpetual bond.

In separate news, Vodafone has recently made an announcement that it has launched a new prepaid package to make it harder for rivals to compete, including Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel. Accordingly, the new prepaid package costs Rs 129 which allows 100 SMS each day along with 1.5GB of 3G/4G data. The plan also lets users enjoy unlimited STD, local, and roaming voice calls with no FUP limits. The packages are valid within a course of 28 days.
Vodafone makes it Rs 129 prepaid package available in Chennai, Gujarat as well as some other major circles. It looks like Vodafone’s Rs 129 plan has come out to compete with Jio’s Rs 98 prepaid plan, which let users make unlimited STD, local, and roaming voice calls, also with no FUP limits. Also, Jio’s package allows 2GB of 3G/4G data alongside 100 SMS per day with validity within 28 days too.
