The Xbox controller of Microsoft has long been easy to be paired with devices other than Xbox, and recently, it seems like Apple plans to allow the Xbox Series X gamepad to work with iPhones in the future.
9to5Mac recently spotted a small line of text on the Apple support site that bears a piece of good news of iOS gamers. After the upcoming iOS update, the gamepad accompanies the Xbox Series X will be able to work on iPads and iPhones.

However, other than that announcement, Apple has revealed nothing more on the support. So for now, we have no idea when the next update will be rolled out. Apple did say that it was working with Microsoft to make the support happens.
When the software update makes it out, the Xbox Series X gamepad will be the next in line, joining the Xbox One controller, the Xbox Adaptive Controller, and the Xbox Elite controller, to be able to wirelessly work with iPads and iPhones.
The Xbox Series X/S controller isn’t too different from the one for Xbox One. It’s a bit smaller and has an easier grip, a different texture on the triggers, along with a share button for taking screenshots and some other functions.
The DualShock 4, which has served the PS4 well for the last seven years, also enjoys the same support. However, Apple has said nothing about the same thing for the DualSense. The new controller for PS5 is a departure from what Sony has been doing. Its look resembles an Xbox controller and the haptic features it offers is one of the kind.

For now, the DualSense can work on PS5 and Steam, but iOS beta suggests that the support for iPhones will come shortly.
However, even when the support arrives, it still depends on individual games for a seamless experience.
