As per a 9to5Mac report, Screen Time and Siri Shortcuts, have been planned to bring to macOS. These features are quite familiar with iOS smartphone users for a long time, but until now, Apple's users have not experienced them in the macOS devices. The writer Guilherme Rambo has unveiled that the tech giant will announce the new update of macOS at WWC 2016 and these iOS-based features will come to macOS 10.15 in the upcoming months.
The feature Siri Shortcuts was determined as a part of the iOS 12 version, which permits users to have customized voice-activated actions on their own for the apps you often use. 9to5Mac said Screen Time on the Mac will work exactly just like it does on iOS. However, the Siri Shortcuts feature is said to be able to work with the app Marzipan. For those who have not heard about it, it is a project created to make the apps work across both iOS and macOS devices.
The tech giant is also planning to integrate the Screen Time feature into its macOS. The feature has been another exclusive one that Apple brings to iOS devices. The idea behind this feature is to break down how much time users spent using their devices. Now Screen Time is expected to essentially allow users to track not only their iPhone’s usage but also iPad’s. Thanks to Apple, macOS users are going to be able to check the duration of using session when they use their Mac.
In addition, rumors about new update seem to be more. Some reliable sources have claimed that the upcoming macOS 10.15 will appear with a new Books app design and better integration with Apple Watch as well. The other one said System Preferences will include an Apple ID management panel, which will improve the Family Sharing.
