Another Bendgate: Ipad Pro 2018 Reportedly Lacks Structural Stability

On some bend tests, the iPad Pro 2018 is allegedly too easy to bend, even when users don’t apply a strong force into it.

The iPad Pro 2018 has been rolled out in October after a long wait. Carrying on Apple’s tradition, the iPad Pro model goes on sale for a high price (around Rs 1,38,000 for the 1TB variant).

However, in some bend tests conducted by Apple users, the iPad Pro 2018 is allegedly too easy to bend, even when users don’t apply a strong force into it. That makes the tech community remember the Bendgate crisis revolving around iPhone 6.

JerryRigEverything, a famous Youtube channel, has done a bend test on the new iPad Pro. How surprising it is! The new-launched device is bent easily beyond our imagination. More exactly, you can bend it with bare hands, no hammer or brick or something like that. It is not difficult at all to crack the screen of the iPad Pro 2018 and divide it into two parts.

The reason for that may due to its super thin glass screen. That means if you own an iPad Pro 2018, you shouldn’t put it into your backpack or anywhere susceptible to collisions. It is clear that this huge weakness shouldn’t appear in a luxury tech product like iPad Pro.

Apart from JerryRigEverything, there have been many other similar reports from Reddit and Apple forums. They all complain the iPad Pro 2018 lacks a structural stability and Apple seemingly paid such much attention to developing its products’ looks and features that the firm forgot to design a rational and stable structure.

For now, there hasn’t been any official statement from Apple relating to the bending troubles the iPad Pro is facing.

The bad news doesn’t end. This year, Apple has introduced two new products with some of the easy-to-realize weaknesses. In addition to the iPad Pro, the Apple Pencil stylus for iPad is also easily bent. Its Achilles’ heel lies right at the center. Be always careful when you put an iPad Pro 2018 and Pencil stylus around you.
