Apple rumoredly will produce lots of Apple AirTags ultra-wideband trackers by the end of this year.

After many months of assumptions and rumors, it seems like by the end of this year, specifically in the third quarter, the tech giant Apple will produce lots of ultra-wideband trackers (temporarily named as Apple AirTags), as predicted by the long-time Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Some leaked images displayed a Bluetooth tracker that looks similar to the Tile products.

Apple AirTags has been long rumored due to various information leaked last year. Some leaked images displayed a Bluetooth tracker that looks similar to the Tile products that use similar ultra-wideband radio functioning as the newest iPhone 11 of Apple and can be matched to the users' iCloud accounts. According to 9to5Mac, it will be more convenient for Tags' users as they make it much easier to find lost stuff such as keys, throughout the Find My app, as well as to use the Offline Finding feature that is integrated into iOS13.

There are some rumors regarding Apple AirTags:

  • They will be using circular discs, as reported by MacRumors and 9to5Mac.
  • They will be matched with the newest U1 locator chip by Apple, which has been integrated into iPhone 11.
  • There are 3D balloons that help mark the locations of your lost items, like an AR interface. Just by walking around some feet, and moving up and down your iPhone, then a balloon will appear on the screen, stated by iOS13 builders.

It is not clear until when the tags will officially be available to the users.

It is not clear until when the tags will officially be available to the users. However, some news has revealed that they can appear in public since iPhone's upcoming event this September. As pointed out by 9to5Mac, AirTags will be a completely new brand product, and Apple may think of unveiling it sooner than expected, which can be in the Worldwide Developers Conference, and may take place around this June.
