Xiaomi launched its Mi TVs in the Indian consumer electronics market in 2018. In just one year, the company has incredibly developed and succeeded in holding the no.1 position in the market within a short period of time. Now, Xiaomi TVs, citing the data from IDC, announced on Weibo that the Mi TVs took up 39% share in the Indian market.
It’s worth noting that its market share impressively doubled the remaining vendors in the first quarter of 2019. As per the IDC data, Xiaomi held the first spot in the ranking, followed by LG in the second position with a 15% market share. The third spot belonged to Sony with a 14% market share, and Samsung took fourth place with a 12% market share in Q1 2019.

Besides, Xiaomi also announced Mi LED TV 4 PRO 55-inch in last February and all TVs was all sold within less than 10 secs during the 1st flash sale. And in the next months, the brand also added various TVs in its TV portfolio with many different price ranges.
If rumors come true, the brand is actually planning to introduce 50-inch Mi TV 4A in the Indian market soon. This TV series was first unveiled in the home market in last January. And it belongs to the budget segment compared to Mi TV 4X Pro series and Mi TV 4 Pro series.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi has recently released an update for Mi TV 4A smart TVs to Android 9.0 Pie as well. The early access program is expected to be limited to some selected users and it would choose fifty Mi Fans for this update for Mi TV 4A lineup. Those who are interested in Mi TV 4A’s 43-inch and 32-inch TVs can apply for this update from the company’s forum post. Additionally, Xiaomi stated that the list of selected users would be announced on 20 July.
