The launch is part of the company’s 10th birthday celebration. The 55-inch TV will be available for $7,200 in the Chinese market on the 16th of August.

In a press release, the company said when the TV was turned off, it would look like a glass display. And when the device is in use, pictures looked like they were floating, bringing the audience a one-of-a-kind visual experience.

The technology to make a transparent screen possible was first made public in 2015. Samsung has its own see-through OLED display panel and LG, at CES 2016, also showed one.

Along with the Mi TV Lux OLED Transparent Edition, Xiaomi also introduced its K30 Ultra 5G phone and Mi 10 Ultra smartphone with 120W wired charging.
