Xiaomi To Launch New Wired Earphones In India On February 25

As Xiaomi is trying to expand its consumer electronics portfolio beyond just smartphones in India, the company will launch a new audio product on Feb 25.

As Xiaomi is trying to expand its portfolio for consumer electronics beyond just smartphones in India, the company just unveiled a new electric toothbrush that has 25-day battery life, antimicrobial bristles, and more. And on February 25, the Chinese company will launch a new audio product in India.

As the tweet below suggests, Xiaomi calls the device an “HD audio” product that will bring to consumers an “electrifying sound experience.” Although the company hasn’t announced what product they will launch, there are rumors suggesting that it will be a pair of wired earphones. And this pair of earphones are said to be an upgrade over earlier launched models.

According to the tweet, the device will have twice the drive and a perfectly balanced sound. This means that the earphone’s drivers will be much larger than those of its predecessors. We will have to wait until the product’s launch date to have more information.

Lately, it seems like the Chinese company has been on some kind of launching spree. Just last week, the company released a portable Bluetooth speaker. Dubbed the Mi Outdoor Bluetooth speaker, it only costs Rs 1,399. The device is an addition to the company’s line-up of audio products that have already been launched in India for the past few years which include speakers, earphones, and more.
