Xiaomi has just revealed that its Mi Band 4 has sold over 1 million units within no more than eight days. The announcement, which was posted on Weibo, further stated that the number means Xiaomi managed to sell around 5,000 Mi Band 4 products each hour. This milestone also marks the shortest time that Mi Ban lineup has taken to reach the 1 million sale mark. Besides announcing the achievement, the company did not forget to thank all the buyers of the Mi Band.
The Mi Band 4 has a colored AMOLED 2.5D display which measures 0.95 inches and features a resolution of 120x240. The device also supports touch inputs on the screen. Coming with the fitness band is a built-in microphone so that users can voice commands. In addition, the company has given the device a six-axis accelerometer sensor to help with monitoring physical activities when the user is on the move. The band is capable of monitoring several physical activities including walking, running, swimming, cycling, and exercising.
Its water rating is 5 ATM, and it can recognize some different swimming strokes such as butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, mixed-style, and freestyle. Other features include 'find your smartphone', music control with one tap, stock updates, and live weather. The battery of the Mi Band 4 can survive up to 20 days on one charge. Customers can choose to get this fitness band in various color, namely Pink, Orange, Brown, Blue, and Black.
Apart from the standard model, Xiaomi announced another two models of this device. One of them is a regular version but has NFC for payment feature. To make payment using this feature, users just simply swipe the display after which a QR code will appear on the band. The second one, on the other hand, is a limited edition dubbed Mi Band Avengers Edition, featuring custom design and colors. There will be three straps coming along with the package. Plus, the Chinese company has included certificates as well as a nameplate with the packaging.
