It’s a pity that he hasn’t had any plan to put his smartwatch into continuous production.

Samson March, whose alias is smarchbme, has recently boasted about his newest build – a real smartwatch on Reddit. The whole process to make this product, from the first step to the last step, was conducted by himself. If you’re wondering whether it can work well or not, the answer is simply “yes, of course.”

The engineer spent a few weeks building and even coding this smartwatch called “Smarch Watch” with full of functions. In addition, its battery life makes a deep impression on all of us. The device can work continuously in seven days. More especially, March designed a charging cradle that allows the smartwatch to take only 2.5 hours to recharge fully of energy.

With the watch, users can keep track of all kinds of notifications from the linked smartphone, such as emails, calendar, and messages. However, the feature music playback is not available on this exciting device.

Talking about his product, March revealed all chosen materials met two primary demands: low cost and availability. It was estimated at about Rs 3,500 or $50. In other words, if he wants to bring it to the market, March will have to sell it for $200-$250 (equivalent to Rs 13,800 - Rs 17,300). As such, the handmade “Smarch Watch” is obviously much cheaper than other current smartwatches.

It’s a pity that he hasn’t had any plan to put his product into continuous production. However, if you want to learn how to build a similar smartwatch on your own, you can search and follow how March did on the Internet. He posted every detail to design it for those who feel interested.

Of course, it’s not easy to make such an impressive smartwatch. Before his success, March worked as a product designer in 5 years and approached a lot of modern technologies such as a 3D printer. He expresses his opinion with DIY hobbyists.
