This Is The World's First Atomic Clock 'Wristwatch'

Most of the current atomic wristwatches on the market are just regular watches, with a built-in radio receiver.

Atomic clock wristwatches are not something uncommon on the market. However, in reality, most of them are just regular watches, with a built-in radio receiver to synchronize time with the international atomic clock. However, a man with an endless passion for watches recently made himself one of the most accurate "wristwatches" in the world.

Specifically, one user reported that his brother-in-law Bill created the world's first atomic wristwatch, which included an atomic clock HP5071A and two nylon bands.

The world finally got its first atomic wristwatch.

The watch keeps time to several nanoseconds per day. The watch face is equipped with a 7-segment LED display, and the battery can last 45 minutes, with an AC charger included.

The 'fancy' nylon bands or you can get a stainless steel one.

And for a more stylish look, says Bill, you can choose between stainless steel straps or adjustable nylon straps. Bill's model uses the latter one as you can see on the photo. Users can order other colors if they prefer, available upon request.

However, this "wristwatch" also has its disadvantages. It doesn’t support daylight saving time, but it can address leap seconds and keeps observe of the [Modified Julian] date. In addition, it also comes with an internal keypad for adjusting time and date. This atomic watch also involves 5/10 MHz and 1 PPS outputs. Sadly, it's not waterproof so you won’t be able to carry this wristwatch in the rain.
