Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus Has Better Battery Life And Is More Apple-Friendly

At its Unpacked event this year, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S20 lineup, the Galaxy Z Flip, and the Galaxy Buds Plus. The new pair of true wireless earbuds comes with several improvements on its inside for significantly better performance.

The Galaxy Buds Plus also features a noise-isolating design, but the product doesn’t have active noise-cancellation. However, the battery life is amazing at 11 hours for playing music, and the drivers have been improved to offer better sound. In addition, each of the earbuds has a microphone that helps reduce external noises when users make phone calls.

The Galaxy Buds Plus is priced at around Rs 10,696 ($150), which is $20 higher than the price of its predecessor Galaxy Buds.

The Buds Plus looks the same as the Buds and also has the same dimensions though it is 0.7 grams heavier than its predecessor. The additional weight is due to the larger battery as well as two-way drivers instead of a single driver. Furthermore, its battery case has a bigger battery too.

Another change is the multi-device pairing feature, which is often overlooked, along with an iOS app so that iPhone owners can use the Galaxy Buds Plus too. This app was launched last week, but many have complained that the app works only with the Buds Plus, not the Buds.

In terms of other features, the Buds Plus still has the touch controls. In the new product, Samsung has also partnered with Spotify, which means users can launch the music service from the Galaxy Buds Plus without having to touch the phone.

The Buds Plus has the same water-resistance rating as its predecessor, IPX2, meaning it can resist water hitting the device at a 15-percent angle or less. There’s also the ambient aware mode, which lets users hear the environment sound.

The Galaxy Buds Plus will be on sale online starting Feb 14 and will come to stores on March 6. Buyers of this product can choose red, blue, white, or black.
