List Of Top Games For Nongaming Laptops

Anisha

Here is a list of games that you can play on a low-end laptop. Some of them are widely popular, others are the digital versions of a tabletop titles

This is the time of PC gaming. The new age has begun with the 4K technology and HDR graphics seen in games like Metro: Exodus and the Division. These technologies can beat any console rivals. Not to mention the wonderful up-to-date hardware like Nvidia and AMD, and RTX "Super" GPUs.

A majority of users are still stuck with the Intel graphics which are on pretty much every office laptop without a competent GPU. If you fall into that category, you have quite limited options.

Luckily, you are not hopeless. Some games that are innovative and praised by critics can still work reasonably well on regular laptops

Darkest Dungeon

Darkest Dungeon

With the elements of both Lovecraft and D&D in good harmony, this 2D RPG is more about protecting your team than fighting monsters. You can practice your teamwork and plan management skills in this game.

Steamworld Heist

Steamworld Heist

The true game for laptop is similar to Firefly at its lightness and turn-based shooters. It has a mechanism that allows you to bounce your bullets ( or any kind of projectiles) off the surfaces. It consumes about 200MB of your drive and can run on Mac, Linux, and Windows. You can also attend a swift mission among meetings on the go.

Hypnospace Outlaw

Hypnospace Outlaw

Your character is an employee of a business much like Facebook with Geocities-like online community. You are assigned to monitor the surroundings. It takes approximately 500MB of the storage on your Mac, Linux or Window.

Thimbleweed Park

Thimbleweed Park

Thimbleweed Park may remind you of those 2D mystery/adventure games and a Twin Peaks episode in a county fair. If you have déjà vu seeing LucasArts Classic like Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island, just remember that a part of the team also worked on this game.

Scythe: Digital Edition

Scythe: Digital Edition

This is the digital form of one of the ultimate board games. Scythe is a perfect example of conquest and resource management, in the 1920s of a sci-fi world. Other tabletop games such as Ticket to Ride and Pandemic also have digital versions too.

Into the Breach

Into the Breach

Faster Than Light is an easy-to-load and simple game. The game's developers have made a totally fresh and a bit nostalgic title, and it goes by the name of Into The Breach, in which an engineering diagram is exchanged for an isometric view of an alien-dominated city.

Cuphead

Cuphead

Being loved by many even before the release date, Cuphead is well-known for its magnificent hand-drawing art and its difficulty. It used to be available on Xbox One only; the PC edition can work on even the most low-end PC hardware. But the game itself is no easier at all.

Gris

Gris

Gris is the side-scrolling story from Limbo school of melancholic and reminiscent art style. While Limbo creates a world of monochromatic color, Gris is full of pastels colors, but that doesn’t mean it will be any brighter in the end.

Bonus: Fornite

Fornite

The reason for the insane popularity of Fornite is adaptability. It’s not hard to see Fornite on Play Station, Nintendo Switch, Xbox consoles, Android, and IOS devices. It does not deny one laptop simply because it’s low-end. It may perform on your office laptop, but when you are in the middle of a thrilling fight, you will end up frustrated because of the frames per second and the refresh rate. You can at least make it an excuse for you lost, though.
