Google is planning to expand its auto-translating feature’s traction to more headphones and earphones. Not every single one of those devices, however, are getting the feature. The auto-translating feature is going to come to all the audio accessories which have the support of Google Assistant.

This auto-translating feature made its debut along with the Pixel Buds of Google last year when they are introduced as add-ons for the Google Pixel 2 as well as the Google Pixel 2XL.

In spite of it still not releasing any official announcement for this auto-translating feature, Google has, however, updated the Pixel Buds page of support. This action has clearly confirmed in an indirect way that there will be a rollout to all the eligible earphones. One out of all the lines on the support web page states that Google Translate would be available for all headphones that have optimized Google Assistant along with all the Android phones.

As Droid Life has managed to find out, the auto-translating feature was available already to the wired earbuds of the Google Pixel 3 when they are in use alongside the newly released Essential Phone. iOS users, however, might not be eligible to utilize the auto-translating feature even in the case they have Google Assistant downloaded and installed on their phones and they are using headphones based on Google Assistant.

The American search giant still has not revealed when all the compatible headphones would be receiving this auto-translating feature. Thus, at the moment you must try out each earphone or headphone to see for yourself if the auto-translating feature is working or if it is not working. Some of the confirmed to be compatible accessories are the Bose QC35II, WH-H900N, and the Pixel Buds.

For those of you that are unaware of this news, Google has launched the Pixel earbuds USB-C along with the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3XL. The earbuds, however, did not get any stage time. They deliver digital audio in 24-bit and they also have adjustable loops as well.

There is also a controller in-line that has a button right in the center to open Google Assistant. The button may also be utilized to pick incoming calls up. In addition, the volume controllers can also act like the buttons that we can use to get updated along with all the newest notifications. All the client needs to do will just be pressing and holding the up volume button to be able to hear the notifications.
