Zomato Food Delivery Services Come To New 17 Cities In India

On Monday, Zomato announced that it now offers online ordering and food delivery services in another 17 cities in India.
The new cities added to the list of Zomato include Deoghar, Ambur, Gurdaspur, Khanna, Kollam, Kottayam, Kadapa, Srikakulam, Ongole, Bhimavaram, Nandyal, Machilipatnam, Rewari, Palwal, Solan, Shahjahanpur, and Bulandshahr, according to its statement. With this new expansion, Zomato’s services are now available in 230 cities across India.
Deepinder Goyal, CEO and founder of the company, said that the company’s growth is largely attributed to emerging cities and it expects them to account for over 50 percent of total order number by year-end. He continued by saying that the company is also working to provide everyone in its ecosystem with true values.
The CEO and founder of Zomato said that the company is creating jobs for many Indians as well as helping them build skills, with 1.8 lakh delivery partners in the country.
Established in 2008 by Pankaj Chaddah and Deepinder Goyal, this is an Indian restaurant discovery and search service. The company provides users with info and reviews of various restaurants, along with menu images if the restaurant doesn’t have an official website and online delivery service in several countries.
By 2011, the company launched in Chennai, Pune, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad. Then when .xxx domains were introduced in the same year, the company rolled out its food porn site, zomato.xxx. In addition, it collaborated with Citibank and released a print version of this website content called “Citibank Zomato Restaurant Guide” in May 2012. However, the product has been discontinued.
