So, how does this Walmart’s service work, you may ask? Via their smartphones, customers will place their order. After that, an employee from Walmart will do the shopping. Once the shopping process is done, a delivery associate will the “use smart entry technology and a proprietary, wearable camera” to enter your house and locate your fridge “through an extensive training program.”
To get inside customers’ houses, there will be a smart device allowing one-time access. Through the body camera that the associate wears, customers can view the footage to ensure that nothing went wrong.
Citizens from three U.S. cities including Pittsburgh, Kansas City, and Vero Beach in Florida will get to experience this new service this fall.
