Recently, the Daily Mail uploaded an image of a Wuhan lab where 1,500 viruses are stored and researched, including the bat-linked coronavirus.
This image was once uploaded on the China Daily back in 2018. After that, it was reposted on social platforms and deleted almost immediately.
This is obviously sensitive information when the US and many countries around the world have publicly announced that they would investigate the question of nCoV originated from this laboratory.

Wuhan Institute of Virology is China’s first facility to study dangerous pathogens and is built to resist a 7.0 earthquake. The Chinese Academy of Sciences approved the construction of the Wuhan Virology Institute in 2003.
The project costs $44 million and takes more than a decade to begin its operation. This is considered the pride of Wuhan, helping Chinese researchers to be on par with colleagues from the US and Europe.
Notably, the institute received funding of up to $3.7 million from the US government.
On April 15, US President Donald Trump announced that he had discussed with Chinese President Xi Jinping in a phone conversation about the suspected relationship between the virology institute and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trump also stated that the US would carefully investigate the matter. He later said that he didn’t want to disclose details of the phone conversation because it was the right time.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley responded to the Washington Post’s article on March 14, saying that the US had many sources to look into this. At this point, there were no conclusions although the evidence seemed to suggest that the virus’s origin was natural.
Following Trump’s speech, the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo said that the Chinese government needed to be more open to help explain the spread of the virus.
The nCov, which causes COVID-19, was first reported in Wuhan, China in late 2019. It was initially suggested that the virus originated from the Wuhan’s wet market selling exotic animals.
Some others think that the virus came from the lab. But because of safety-standard-related problems, the virus was leaked to the market and began spreading quickly.

A source from the US intelligence said that immediately after the outbreak of COVID-19, laboratory officials destroyed the virus samples, deleted the original reports and academic papers then blamed the Wuhan Seafood Market for the spread of the virus.
The source also predicted that “Patient Zero” to be a trainee at the lab. And she spread the virus to the local community after infecting her boyfriend.
However, during a press conference on April 17, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that the suspicion that the virus originated from the Wuhan laboratory was groundless and had been denied by WHO.
