This Depressed Wolf Walking In An Infinity Sign Pattern Is Why Animals Shouldn't Be Caged In The Zoo

The wolf looks really upset and its body posture shows no signs of excitement or willingness towards its current life in a concrete cage.

There’s a reason why we are trying to protect wild animals in their natural habitat or in vast preservation centers that allow them to live just like in nature instead of zoos. A clip posted early this morning is the perfect proof of that.

The clip is being shared around Facebook, showing a wolf walking back and forth in its cage in the zoo, looking depressed. Especially, it walks in a repeated pattern that eventually turns out to be an infinity sign, just like in Math and in its endless caging situation.

The wolf looks really upset and its body posture shows no signs of excitement or willingness towards its current life. The clip doesn’t reveal any information about where this wolf is living or why it’s being caged like that, we will update if we can find anything about the clip. But eventually, the important thing is being aware of the necessary environment for animals, they are not born for cages.

The reason is that the nature of wild animals is to run and look for food in large territories that can measure up to hundreds of square kilometers. Meanwhile, in zoos, animals are caged in tiny rooms that are only square meters wide. Consequently, even if they are provided with enough food and water, zoo animals can suffer from depression. They are not happy, try to escape, become angry, or even commit suicide.

In the wild, wolves travel about 25 kilometers a day, sometimes even up to 40 or 50 kilometers. It looks like the wolf in this clip is trying to travel its daily distance as it does in the wild, it’s tragic.
