Recently, the discovery of the National Security Agency (NSA) which found a security flaw in Windows 10 and Server 2016/2019 has caused great concerns among Microsoft users all around the world. Immediately, the company has taken action to find the solution which is a security update for their cryptographic problem.

The current vulnerability, called CVE-2020-0601, has damaged Windows apps that guarantee users' cybersecurity. In terms of the problem's effect, NSA claimed that this could create chances for hackers to break into reliable network connections then take the executable code without being realized.

According to the experts from Microsoft, the latest vulnerability stems from this company’s app-protection service called CryptoAPI. The service operates based on a cryptographic certificate from developers on the purpose of establishing reliability as and when the authenticity being checked by the Windows system. Therefore, this security flaw could be utilized to hack into the verifying function of users’ programs. As a result, hackers can easily get access to users’ encrypted data in order to spread out malware that might damage their computers.

Right after finding out the bug, the agency quickly reported it to Microsoft to reach an opportune solution. The announcer also emphasized the devastating consequences on a global scale of this security flaw to urge Microsoft to think of the fix as soon as possible. To make the situation seem less serious, this company insisted on the safety of their program on the ground that they did not receive any cyber attack that was carried out by this security flaw.
