As usual, world-class celebrities write Diwali wishes to Indian people on social media as a way to express their interest in India. The Apple CEO is not an exception!

Back to Tim Cook, this is not the first time he has sent such wishes. A few days ago, he uploaded two images of the Diwali spirit taken by Ashish Parmar, a photographer in India. Also in this post, the CEO revealed “by chance” that iPhone XR – one of the latest Apple smartphone – is a device used to take these great shots. Which better way is there to promote products for free?

What makes Cook’s move more outstanding is that until now, CEOs of Google and Microsoft haven’t given any Diwali wishes on their Twitter or other social media. May the Apple’s heavy rivals forget or ignore this special annual festival?

At the beginning of November, Cook had a long talk about the future of Apple with the India government and expressed his desire to open Apple stores in India – the second largest tech market in the world. However, the weak India currency will be a great obstacle that Apple has to overcome to gain a solid foothold in the country. For now, the CEO, as well as the global analysists, has been still optimistic about the Apple situation in India.
