Just imagine if Apple had decided to maintain its iconic Macintosh or iMac G3’s look and ditch the new design of its iPhone lineup. The phone would look even more eye-catching than the gadget with an all-glass design we have now. This week, designer FuturePunk published a look which he thinks Apple’s iPhone would look like if it was modeled off either the iMac G3 or the Macintosh. He even went as far as recreating the commercials, starring the phones.

While a phone which completely based on these computers would be absolutely impractical, especially the clunky keys of the Macintosh, an iPhone in the iMac G3-style would look incredible.

If anyone is interested in messing around with one of the digital 3D models, a Blender file is being sold by FuturePunk. But for now, just enjoy the commercials and the idea of a gorgeous looking transparent iPhone.

FuturePunk is a professional designer and animator who offers illustration, VFX, design, digital painting, motion graphics, and animation, specializing in retro aesthetic.
