UK To Roll Out Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine, Here Is All You Need To Know

The UK became the world’s first country to approve Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19. The vaccine will be rolled out next week, as stated in the UK government’s statement. The emergency authorization allows the deployment of the vaccine that is said to play a significant role in halting the coronavirus.
According to the UK government, the vaccine will a part of an operation to protect the country’s population. Doctors around the country have been put on standby for the rollout.

The UK has placed orders for enough doses of the two-shot vaccine to vaccinate 20 million citizens. The companies have also set deals to supply hundreds of millions of doses of vaccine to the US, Europe, Japan, etc.
In a statement, the UK statement said that following the recommendation of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, the government has decided to approve the COVID-19 from Pfizer and BioNTch. The decision was made after months of clinical trials and an in-depth data analysis by MHRA experts who have come to the conclusion that the vaccine has met its standards of safety, effectiveness, and quality.
Officers from Pfizer explained that the company has received requests from many countries. If the trial data is requested, the company is always willing to share. The approval decision of the UK marks a historic moment in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pfizer officials didn’t disclose if the vaccine would be rolled out in other regions. Apart from the UK, Pfizer has also submitted its trial data to the US Food and Drugs Administration and European Medicine Agency.
Pfizer said that the shot was proved to be 95% effective. The company was seeking regulatory clearance in the European Union for their vaccine, hoping that it would get approved before this year ends. In the US, the panel of the Food and Drug Administration is going to discuss the vaccine on December 10.
