[Watch] Two-Headed Snake Found In Odisha, Some Believe It's Associated With Mythology

The video of the two-headed snake generates massive interest on the Internet. It has had over 15,000 views on Twitter only

A two-headed snake was recently discovered in Odisha. The footage recording it slithering around was made public by Susanta Nanda, an Indian Forest Services officer.

The snake is non-venomous and it has two fully-grown heads with only one body. Interestingly, the two heads work like they belong to two separate snakes, meaning they often fight for food despite sharing the same body.

Susanta Nanda wrote that the rare two-headed snake was rescued from the Dehnkikote Forrest range. He also shared that the reptile had been released into the wild.

As you may expect, the video of the snake generates massive interest on the Internet. Ever since the video was made public, it has had over 15,000 views on Twitter only. The thread is filled with responses of people expressing curiosity and surprise.

According to Rakesh Mohalick, the photographer who discovered the snake, one of the two heads is slightly more developed than the other and they often fight to get food, which might make it challenging for the snake to survive on its own.

This is not the first time a two-headed snake was discovered. Last year, another snake with two fully-grown heads was found in the US and was called Double Dave.

On December 10, 2019, a cobra with two heads was spotted in into Ekarukhi village in Odisha. It soon became the center of attention for its unique look.

Villagers fed the two-headed snake milk and did not want to hand it over to the authority as they thought the creature is somehow related to mythology.
