Two Air Purifiers Are Installed At Taj Mahal To Deal With Poor Air Quality

The Pollution Control Board of Uttar Pradesh decided to set up two air purifiers at the Taj Mahal to deal with air pollution.

As days go by, North India’s air quality is getting worse, to the point that Delhi announced that this is a health emergency. Despite the fact that there were strict rules which didn’t allow people to burst crackers for the Diwali, Delhi is suffocating. With the polluting situation in Delhi, the city’s AQI reached 1000 recently.

But Delhi is not the only city to suffer from air pollution, other states are suffering as well. Therefore, the Pollution Control Board of Uttar Pradesh decided to set up two air purifiers at the Taj Mahal to deal with air pollution.

The Economic Times reported that the air purifiers are placed at the gates of the mausoleum. The van is capable of purifying 15 lakh cubic meters of air within an area of 300 meters in eight hours. The question is will it work for such a large area?

Agra Municipal Corporation executive engineer RK Rathi said that the authority of Uttar Pradesh has directed an agency to be in charge of the mechanized cleaning. By deploying two air purifiers at the Taj Mahal, the city is trying to combat air pollution as well as providing relief to tourists who visit the destination every day.

The idea of deploying two air purifiers to deal with air pollution is very much appreciated; however, these two machines which can only clean the air within a radius of 300 meters will not be enough to battle the polluting situation in India.
