True Wireless Hearables Market Reached 17.5 Million Units in Q1 2019

In Q1 2019, the market of true wireless hearables has reached 17.5 million units sold from a report of Counterpoint Research.

Counterpoint Research has recently reported that that the worldwide wireless hearables  market has reached the unit shipment of 17.5 million units in the first quarter of this year. This rise in the period was led by growth across all region. Especially, we have Europe and North America regions leading the pack with their incredible growing speed.

From the Counterpoint Research on Hearables Market Tracker, the share of Apple in this market hasn't grown much during that period even though Apple just launched its 2nd generation of AirPods. During this first quarter, the 1st generation AirPods' sales were much higher than the expectation thanks to various sales promotions which aimed to clear the remaining stocks. Given that, the 2nd generation AirPods' sales are still much weaker than the initial expectation because of the market's mixed response.

Galaxy Buds
Samsung would maintain that momentum thanks to market' positive response and the strategy of bundling Galaxy Buds with the S10.

In the Q1 of 2019, Samsung has significantly expanded its own market share to reach the second spot in the true wireless earphones market with the Galaxy Buds. The report says that Samsung would maintain that momentum thanks to market' positive response and the strategy of bundling Galaxy Buds with the S10.

On the list of best sellers, those premium models with the price tag of 150 dollars and above scored very high, while JLAB JBuds Air and  QCY T1 were quite strong in the range of low and middle tier.
