But Bor doesn’t know that Malekith, Algrim, and several Dark Elves have escaped into suspended animation.

Meanwhile, in Asgard, at the present-day time, Loki is in prison for his war crimes on planet Earth. At the same time, Thor, along with warriors Sif, Volstagg, and Fandral, win the fight over marauders on Vanaheim, which is the home to Hogun. The battle is the final in a war to bring peace to the Nine Realms after the Bifröst’s reconstruction, which is the “Rainbow Bridge” connecting the realms but destroyed two years before. Soon, the Asgardians learn that the Convergence will soon take place; and portals that link the worlds will appear at random.

Afterward, Foster and Thor find another portal in a cave nearby, they come to London and meet with Lewis as well as Dr. Erik Slevig – Foster’s mentor. They acknowledge that Malekith has a plan to restore the dominance of the Dark Elves by releasing the Aether in Greenwich, at the center of the Convergence.
