Many companies have stepped into this field, but none of them focused on it as ParKam did. The startup has developed an app guiding drivers to open slots.

Lots of companies have stepped into this field, but none of them focused on it as ParKam did. The start-up from Israel has high hopes to change the way drivers find open parking slots, and they built an app similarly to how Waze developed its GPS systems.

The app collects information from security cameras in available garages

However, ParKam is entirely independent of users. It collects information from installed cameras in garages that are already available in parking lots and gives it to the users. ParKam service is mostly sold to parking lots’ operators, or whenever the application hosts feel like they can benefit from the deal. For users, we can access a system showing available lots in general parking areas, from there we can find the navigation to the nearest or desired parking area. Moreover, the app has a real-time tracking to inform users about the predicted time that one drive might arrive or leave.

When ParKam agrees to put you in a parking lot, you can directly pay for your parking through the application. As for parking spots’ operators to say, they can use the app to enforce parking and to give fine when a car is over-parked or overstayed. More to say, the technology might as well provide operators with information regarding undersold areas so that they can enhance their parking maps.

Users can find their ways to the parking lots with no troubles at all

Moreover, ParKam can also help you with street parking. By using the available camera system, the app can predict and inform users about spots that might be available at the moment or soon in the future based on its analytics. Just like any other apps that use the navigation system, with one simple click, ParKam will take you to your destination.

But don’t rush to Google Play or the App Store immediately because ParKam is only accessible in certain countries up until now. There’s no exact time for this technology to arrive in India, but let’s hope for it to be in the near future.
