This 30-Million-Watt Laser Fried A Digital Camera With Ease

At the highest power level, its output is nearly 39 million watts. This laser can leave big craters on even the strongest pure metal.

E-commerce sites like Amazon and eBay are places we can buy almost anything from stuff we use daily to tech gadgets that only those with specific needs will get. Some of those are really cool tools but others can be weird, or even dangerous.

A YouTuber under the name Styropyro, an expert on everything related to lasers, was even shocked finding out that a too powerful laser is sold on eBay.

Its colors can be altered if you follow the included tips. At the highest power level, the YouTuber estimates that its output is nearly 39 million watts. However, the one thing that helps prevent this laser from killing people and instead just kill tattoos is that the pulses it fires are only 10 billionths of one second long. That time is just enough for the light to travel approximately three meters, but if you point a laser to the sky for an entire second, it will travel more than 3,00,000 kilometers.

This one can easily leave huge craters on various metals when pointed at them, including Tungsten that currently has the highest melting temperature among all pure metals – 3,400 degrees C.

A more terrifying fact about this laser is that it comes with safety glasses that turn out to underrate its power. Frying the sensor of a digital camera isn’t hard when you point a laser directly at it. But this one easily killed the YouTuber’s camera without even being pointed at the lens directly.
