Elon Musk has triggered the idea of sending humans to Mars and it doesn’t seem to be a joke. It’s more visible since Musk-backed aerospace company SpaceX starting building Starship – a towering and two-stage rocket system – with the ambitious purpose to land both people and cargo on the surface of Mars. Though Musk’s plans to nuke Mars have been flying around for all the while, even he could use of solar reflectors to warm it up instead.

Elon Musk apparently joined hand with NASA to find potential landing sites for his Mars missions

At present, SpaceX is looking for some destinations on Mars to prepare for its Starship’s landing. On the other hand, Elon Musk apparently joined hand with NASA to find potential landing sites for his Mars missions, which may likely take off in mid-2020. There are at least 9 landing sites that Musk's rocket company asked NASA scientists to provide photos of them. According to some sources, Musk has been eyeing on some landing sites which are relatively warm, flat and hazard-free as well.

SpaceX Starship might land at those nine locations on the surface of the Red Planet

In the past, the space-writing author Robert Zimmerman disclosed numerous images derived from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. MRO had taken those pictures with a telescope called HiRISE from the University of Arizona. Notably, many of them were labeled as ‘candidate landing site for SpaceX Starship’. Business Insider has also highlighted 9 spots for future missions of Starship.

8 spots are on the border between Arcadia Planitia and Amazonis Planitia

Eight of nine locations are sitting on the border of two main regions on the Red Planet, respectively Arcadia Planitia and Amazonis Planitia. These possible landing sites are expected to boast appropriate conditions to work on and make Mars habitable for voyagers in the future.
