In 2013, a new visual display by Google, which is named Google Glass, was introduced.
However, it was a bad piece of news for Google as its limitation, together with unattractive appearance, did not gain it much attention from the public. And, it is time for the company to renovate it now.
The Glass Enterprise Edition – an augmented reality headset has already been launched to cater to industry and businesses customers. The second edition has the price of $999; however, it is not for the general public either.
With the latest edition of Glass, there is a renovated CPU. It runs on Snapdragon XR1. Moreover, it also has USB-C to reduce the time of charging, advanced camera, and other updates. In spite of not being a common product, it is still expected to be sold better than the first edition.
It is the combination between the new Glass headset and computer vision, and advanced machine learning capabilities. It is the same as Lens – a product of Google's consumer software, which helps translate languages by pointing your phone at them.
The Glass was considered a product for the common market at first; however, its performance did not satisfy people enough for them to make a purchase. It is said that its functions did not deserve its charge. Plus, privacy is another concern. Ultimately, it became a device for factory workers, engineers, surgeons, and so on.
It is quite regretful for a Google product. Although the company has tried its best to renovate the product and satisfy users, it still did not work effectively. Up to now, there is not any signal that shows the better future of all the Google Glass’ versions, or at least if it will become accessible to the general public.
