The First All-Electric Motorcycle Of India Is Seen Doing Test Runs

T6X, the first all-electric motorcycle of India from Tork Motors, is spotted doing test runs on the street years after its announcement.

If you remember, an entirely new manufacturer had ventured into the field of two-wheelers a few years ago. The company claimed to make a revolution out of it with its unique offering. Back at that time, the company delivered a proposal for its electric motorcycle which gathered lots of attention. Right in the day of its announcement, the company received 1000 bookings.

The company mentioned above is called Tork Motors which had revealed the first electric motorcycle of India named T6X. Surprisingly, after this, the company had disappeared with no news about the electric motorbike.

However, recent images of the T6X has emerged. In these images, it seems like the motorcycle has been doing its test run. The motorcycle is in its production-ready stage. Across the headlamps and the fuel tank are, there is a sporty, sharp design. However, the entire bike was covered with heavy camouflage.

Earlier, Tork Motors introduced the T6X as a bike powered by 6kW electric motor. Its torque’s peak is 27 Nm. The bike is able to reach a maximum speed of 100 kmph. The company advertises that with a single charge, the T6X can go up to 100 kms. The bike also comes with fast charging which within an hour, will charge 80% of the battery.

As for the bike’s features, it will be equipped with colored instrumentation together with smartphone connectivity. Riders can also choose to have LED headlamps installed at the front, disc brakes as well as an Anti-Lock Braking System.

On Jan 2, the company posted on its Twitter account a teaser video of the T6X testing.

Besides electric motorcycles, India is also a promising market for electric scooters. It’s interesting to see what other electric products will come out in the future.
