With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, restaurants have been one of the most worst-hit businesses. However, one restaurant in Bangkok, Thailand has come up with a unique method to save their income during this troubled time, by using hunky models as deliverymen.
Called 76 Garage, the Bangkok restaurant is known for its friendly and attractive staff even before the pandemic hit the world. But now, to boost its revenues, the restaurant is relying on hot, attractive male staff.
Last month, the restaurant launched a creative promotional offer, allowing anyone living within a 5-km radius to order food and have their orders delivered by a hunky deliveryman if their order is over 300baht ($9.5). Customers can not only get some eye-candy but they can also take a picture with the deliverymen if they want to.
While most men felt unimpressed by this campaign of the restaurant, it still went really well. Photos of the muscular deliverymen with their shirts unbuttoned staring into the camera started becoming viral on social media, thus spreading the news of the delivery method further.
Whether it was female customers who started ordering food from the restaurant of the extra exposure helped more people know about the 76 Garage, no one knows. The most important thing is that the restaurant has been receiving more and more orders every day.
The owner of the restaurant said that before working here, many of the waiters has previously worked as amateur models. So they agreed to join photo shoots for the promotion of the new delivery. Besides being able to keep their jobs during this difficult time and maybe earning some tips, the staff also got to talk with new customers, thus turning them into loyal ones.
On the Facebook page of 76 Garage, the staff regularly host live videos to interact with fans while taking delivery orders.
