Tech Mahindra Partners With IIT Kanpur To Tackle Cyber Security

As technology keeps evolving, connecting the world and bringing people together, it also results in the security issue known as cyber security.

Relating to this issue, a memorandum of understanding was signed confirming the partnership between Tech Mahindra – an IT company and the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. This association aimed at carrying out joint research about cyber security. The target of the collaboration between Tech Mahindra and the India Institute of Technology Kanpur is to co-create superior research and find solutions to deal with cyber security, according to a statement of Rajiv Singh’s - Tech Mahindra’s Global Head of Cyber security.

This partnership is a chance for students of India Institute of Technology Kanpur to experience exposure to the real-world industry. In addition, the two will work closely on research projects for the development and set up of an environment to cope with cyber security’s automation as well as enhancing critical Indian infrastructure’s digital resilience.

On the other hand, Director of Indian Institute Technology Kanpur Abhay Karandikar showed their confidence in this field, saying:

According to Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, joint coordinator, C3I Center at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Sandeep K Shukla, one of the imperative issues in India is cyber security. It is undoubtedly important to develop indigenous technologies and tools in order to prevent cyber infrastructure from being attacked.

Shukla hoped through the joint research, together with development activity, the partnership between Tech Mahindra and the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur will become a rold model in the country.
