As we know, Group FaceTime is the new feature added in the iOS 12. It’s pity that some of the old iPhones and iPads won’t support this feature. What are the devices?
At the WWDC - the annual special event held by Apple, the company revealed the interesting details relating to the iOS 12. Among the best features in the software is Group FaceTime. One more day, on 30th October, Apple will release the new iPads and Mac devices as well as the latest version of the iOS 12, iOS 12.1.
Every update from Apple surely improves some features to bring the better experience for users. It’s also right for this time. Many users are expecting to try Group FaceTime on their handsets. However, not all of the Apple devices can use the feature.
Apple said that the following mobile models would lack the new feature: iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. Users can only make audio calls, not video calls. In addition, some iPad models have the same destiny, including iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air.
In other words, only devices equipped with the processor but the A8 one can make use of Group FaceTime.
If you don’t know what inside Group FaceTime makes the feature so much interesting, it is the ability to connect up to 32 people on a video call at a time. The thing has never happened to any other Apple iOSes.
Also in the iOS 12 update, Apple is expected to add the dual-SIM support for its latest iPhone models including XS Max, XS, and XR.
